Weigh in & update

Weigh in - 175.5

It was an increase but not really surprising considering I have eaten over my calories just about every day and exercised very little though it has been a productive week in my book. My cravings have been out the roof as well and admittedly I have caved quite a bit (thus the over my calorie allotment). My neighbor asked how the exercising was going and said he could tell a difference last week. By the way, I do NOT like to be complimented by any guy but my husband or other family members. I know that makes me an annomali but it really does bother me. Anyway... In our conversation I realized that there may very well be a correlation between my lack of exercise and my craving increase. huh. So, I am on the treadmill plucking off the calories this morning :)

Though I have blown my calories, my vitamin goals have been no where near the level they should - especially my iron I find worrisome. I have come to the conclusion that the best way to meet that goal is with a bowl of good cereal in the morning because it knocks about 3/4 off my requirement. The problem is that it usually requires a lot of my calorie - especially carb - rations. I have been eating a wheat crunch cereal, but yesterday I took advantage of a General Mills cereal sale and bought a box of Total. I am not convinced it is really any healthier, but they have fortified it with everything that I knocked a 100 pts off both my calcium and iron levels and it required fewer calories than the wheat cereal to do it. I am happy to have a bit higher ration today as a result. I need to get back into my smoothies too so I can have my veggie intake as well.

I have more I want to write, but I also want to do something else this morning and it is already after 10 am. At this point I have walked over 35 min, 1.80 miles, and burned 250 calories.
