I am really sore from my calisthenics yesterday :p My abs and sides ache.
Before when I've done the treadmill I spent the time reading scriptures or other uplifting things. Since the machine is in the basement and I can't find the large print scriptures yet, I was only able to read a little bit before having to put it down which left me with a lot of meditation time. I was thinking about my talk and all the challenges we've gone through, but instead of being humble about it I could see that I was marking off a list and came off sounding really .... ??.... insincere? non sympathetic? boastful? Not quite sure what, but I realized I was full of pride and need to humble myself. I have struggled to feel the Spirit and I think it boils down to humility. I have become calloused since the move and to protect myself I've closed off my heart. I need to forgive and love.
I was reading in 3 Nephi 13 and verses 19-21 (which happens to be the same as Matthew 6:19-21) really struck out to me.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where amoth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal;
20 But lay up for yourselves atreasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
As I am re-reading it right now it is a great intro into the rest of the chapter as the Savior tells his apostles to not worry about the clothing and food because the Lord is aware of the need and will take care of it.
33 But aseek ye first the bkingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
