I should be sleeping. I was tired before I went to bed. My mind is wandering. The crickets are singing outside my window and I realized they help it feel like summer. I haven't seen any lightening bugs here. They were part of what made last summer feel so magical. Last summer was filled with catching fireflies, biking, swimming, eating farm fresh produce, road trips, and happiness. I have tried to recreate a similar experience this year, but it just isn't living up to my expectations.
Aaron learned how to ride a bike yesterday. He still needs help getting started but his stamina is increasing, and I have been itching to get out and be active again so tonight the boys and I went for a walk around the complex. I pushed Peter in the stroller while they rode their bikes. It took us about a half hour. It was just right. It felt so good to be moving. I am pretty sure I have gained back any weight I lost by having Peter. Too many sweets in the house since his birth. It will be hard to wean myself off all the sugar.
The boys have been amazing with Peter. This morning Jared told me he can hardly believe that something so small and so cute is part of our family :)
