This morning I remembered there was a meeting at 9:30 at the school I wanted to attend, so no time for procrastination today!! I hurried out as soon as the boys were on the bus. I reminded myself how quickly I completed my 6 sets on Monday and that was great motivation. I walked back in the door at 9:11 which is before I've been getting out the door this week! So yay!
After set 3 I took an extra 30 seconds of walking but other than that I kept up the rigor. It was hard and I wanted to stop one of the runs, but I talked myself through it.
Next Friday is race day. I can't believe it is here already!!! The training is a little different in that Monday I get 3 min of walking but Wed and Friday I get 2 min. Running is bumped up to 3 minutes. I need to solidify my course so I can know how many sets to do Friday. Hmm. I just realized that Hurricane Sandy is supposed to land on Tues so we'll see how that effects my exercise. If it ends up as bad as people are expecting I may be delayed a week :/
Can you believe I was actually looking at the other training schedules to keep up this insanity? I could be doing another 5K in 5 weeks but completely running it instead of walk/jog. I have never been a runner so this is shocking that I am actually interested in doing this. We'll see how committed I am once the real cold arrives. I may be really wishing the treadmill worked here.
Something else I am pretty amazed at, per SparkPeople I have walked/run 10.21 miles this week and 34.09 miles since I started. Crazy!!! But awesome :D
