In my reboot for health, I am including daily scripture study for my spiritual health. It has been months since I have read my scriptures daily. I think this is the longest I have gone without that habit (it has been months) since I was challenged to read every day as a freshman in high school. I decided that today I would read for the Sunday School lesson since I don't get to attend it due to my calling in Primary. Ironically, the lesson is on the Word of Wisdom. I have been thinking about changing my diet to reflect more natural foods, so for today's reading to be about keeping the body healthy, it is fitting and another indication that the Lord knows me and hasn't given up on me yet even when I have been neglectful of him.

On the Road Again

Now that summer is officially here, Matthew is off to his paralegal training, and we are more settled, I am ready to get back on the wagon. I have had 3 months to eat and veg and gain fat in my tummy, bum, and thighs. It is time to say goodbye to it and the anxiety that has gripped me. Starting tomorrow, the boys and I are going to begin the 5K 5 week rookie training program again. We'll see how that goes because I think Aaron may slow me down, but I think Jared will be a great motivator.

I checked out a Get Fit America video for kids from the library. It is a mix of tai chi and yoga. The moves were simple enough, but I couldn't believe how sore I was today from doing it yesterday morning. Despite all the boxes and furniture I have moved in the last month, my muscles have been on easy street. I actually dread the effort I will need to put forth in the coming days, but I look forward to feeling strong and fit.
